The MCPS School Year Has Started

Today was the first day in school for hundreds of thousands of students in public schools across Montgomery County. MCPS Schools are open regularly at 100% capacity, however schools have had to be very innovative in order to protect students and staff from the coronavirus. Schools are utilizing outdoor spaces as much as possible for learning and lunches. Students are also sitting in assigned groups to help with contact tracing when that becomes necessary. MCPS has reported a couple outbreaks in schools over the last month or so, notably at Quince Orchard High School.

The Garrett Park Pool is Still Open

The Garrett Park Pool remains open until Labor Day this year. If you need to get one last swim in before the end of the season, you still have the time. The pool is operating under different hours though, so see their latest emails or check their website for more information. 

Druid Park Improvements

Druid Park will be undergoing some minor improvements. Montgomery Parks is asking those who use the park to take a survey about what you would like to see. Survey
