Today, The Smithsonian Museum announced that the DC center will be opening to the public on Friday, July 30, 2021, after being closed due to the pandemic. They will be open Thursday through Monday, but closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. There will be COVID protocols in place including the requirement of timed entry passes. Timed entry passes are free and reservations will be available starting on July 23. Face coverings and six feet of physical distancing is required for vaccinated and unvaccinated visitors.
