National Air & Space Museum DC Reopening

The National Air & Space Museum's Udvar-Hazy Center has been open for some time. Today, The Smithsonian Museum announced that the DC center will be opening to the public on Friday, July 30, 2021, after being closed due to the pandemic.  They will be open Thursday through Monday, but closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. There will be COVID protocols in place including the requirement of timed entry passes. Timed entry passes are free and reservations will be available starting on July 23. Face coverings and six feet of physical distancing is required for vaccinated and unvaccinated visitors. 

Some parts of the DC museum will not be available due to ongoing renovations. The museum encourages you to check their website to learn what is on display at the museum. 

New Airline: Breeze

There is a new US Airline in the skies today, sticking on the topic of Aviation. According to  leading Aviation News Source Simple Flying, the startup airline completed their inaugural flight today(5-27). In case you are unaware, an inaugural flight is the first flight of a new airline. Airlines can also have inaugural flights for other reasons such as new planes, or new seat layouts. According to the new airline's website, the CEO of the new airline is David Neeleman, the airline entrepreneur behind reputable carriers such as Azul, JetBlue, Westjet, and Morris Air. Today they started flying to Tampa, Charleston, and Hartford, but their route network is going to be expanding rapidly this summer. You can view their new destinations here.
