The Music Center is Back(Outside)

Strathmore Music Center & Mansion is a 16 acre campus in between Tuckerman Ln, Rockville Pike, and Strathmore. It borders the Academy of Holy Cross. On the Strathmore website, they have announced that they are bringing back live music with a new open air venue. They say that the pavilion will be on the center's Trawick Terrace. The Trawick Terrace is located at the bottom of the concrete steps, looking out onto the property of Holy Cross.

The Set-Up

As seen in the first picture in this article, Trawick Terrace will have a tent and tables. The tables will seat up to 4 people and be placed far enough apart for physical distancing. The venue will seat just 124 people.

Registration Opens Wednesday 5-5-2021

You can purchase a table at the venue for any of the shows starting tomorrow(5-5-2021). Tables are already open to be purchased by members. You can still have presale access by joining Strathmore. Anyone who purchases a table at a show will have an incredible line-up of performances to choose from.

Performance Line-Up

Strathmore has planned an incredible line-up of musicians and performers. Some notable performers lined up are, "Wynton Marsalis, The Lone Bellow, Sophia Rei, and Oliver Wood of The Wood Brothers," according to Strathmore. Concerts will begin on May 30. The patio stage events seem like they will be safe, fun, and a great way for Strathmore to bring back live music.
