Overview

The Woodward building appears to be fully demolished. In the pictures below, you will be able to see different angles of the building from different days. There are portable offices set up. See our archived article about the Woodward Project for more information, or check on the MCPS Capital Improvements Page. The Woodward building is located on Old Georgetown Road in between Edson Lane and Tuckerman Lane. It was home to Tilden Middle School for many years, after having been Woodward High School. Students who attended GPES attended Woodward for a rather brief period of time.

They had an in-person ceremony at Walter Johnson High School's Stadium, streamed on the regular Montgomery County Local TV Channels and online. They also put together a virtual graduation commencement video which can be viewed on youtube .  According to the Montgomery County Public Schools Graduation Schedule , the speaker at the graduation today was social studies teacher Mr. Delello.  The Walter Johnson Principal posted images and videos from the graduation on the @WJPrincipal Twitter account .  NoBe Glow Weekly Update 8-9-2021 Wilson Faucette - Garrett Park Estates, MD - 8.9.2021 Masks Now Required Indoors In Montgomery County Masks are now required indoors in Montgomery County for everybody, regardless of vaccination status. The  county council acting as the board of health unanimously voted to reinstate this masking mandate on August 5th. The new mandate went into effect on August 7th when Montgomery County had reached the CDC's definition of an area of substantial spread. See   This Article Rising COVID Cases Before Start of School Year Coronavirus Cases have rapidly risen in Montgomery County over the past few weeks. The 7 day average per 100,000 residents is at 68.1 which is up from 3.81 in late June 2021.
